The History of PitFit Training
PitFit Training, Inc. was formed in 1997 after Founder and President Jim Leo perfected his craft of motorsports fitness training by working with Roger Penske’s Detroit Diesel corporate wellness center. He began by working with Mr. Penkse’s 1994 Indycar team, who, under Leo’s direction, went on to convincingly claim victory in 12 of 16 races en route to the series championship. Penske Racing also dominated the Indy500 in 1994 with a dominating win. Following his tremendous success with Penske Racing, other teams began to seek out Leo’s expertise. To better support the many race teams with whom he worked, Leo relocated to Indianapolis to start his now highly successful motorsports training program, where he now trains racers in more than a dozen racing series from all over the globe. The PitFit staff has grown over the years, is located in a 100,000 square foot complex that features indoor soccer, basketball and baseball. PitFit Training continues to add major national corporate sponsors and provide the one-on-one attention that has placed them at the pinnacle of customer service.
